Mhai Way of Life

I've been getting alot of good reviews about Cafe by the Ruins so I put it in my must-try list. It was just actually near (or just infront?) the City Hall. They're also serving fresh milk. The curry tastes good but the bread has a bitter taste to it. I like the sauce of the pasta it's very tasty. The strawberry and the yoghurt was very sour. We're not really a fan of strawberries or with sour tastes. Or we're probaby just expecting a little sweetness to it.  The place is filled with arts and crafts and with rustic woodworks. My experience was not really that good at all because of the taste of some food served, but I guess it was just a wrong choice of food. But if you're going to ask me If I will still go back? Well, I will definitely will because there are other foods that looks delicious to me and I wanted to try.

Kamayan sa  Baguio is located in Quezon Hill, Baguio City. It's an all-you-can-eat restaurant for 250 pesos. They serve Filipino food and as what you can see they say it's home of lechon cebu, but when we came there, there was no lechon. We were disappointed because it was a weekend when we came there so were expecting that there's lechon. Boyfriend said his kuya also went there before and they really serve lechon, but now I don't know why. Haayyst! (sad face) Well anyways the ambiance is good. There's also singers who will entertain you while eating. 

The next day after the Grand Float Parade, the Session Road was closed and filled with stalls that sells food and some are promoting product of their provinces. You will be entertained by different local and national bands while enjoying the foods being offered by different stalls. That's me. Haha. Enjoying all the foods from different stalls. There's different kinds of foods and drinks to choose from and there's even lechon. Well it's all not just food there. Session Road in Bloom has a long stretch of different food stalls so I don't think you won't be able to eat all in just one day. We had crepe and batchoy that day, we also ate at Mario's but that deserves a different page so I'll post it soon. Nyahaha. Of course, if there's accessories, there's me. Haha

One of the highlights of Panagbenga is the Grand Float Parade wherein hundreds of flowers are shaped into animals, dragons, sun and different characters. Floats are also accompanied by street dancers and marching bands as it travels through Session Road. Can you see how crowded the park is? So many people, I can't see where the floats are! Finally, after walking round and round under the scorching heat of the sun just to witness the float, we found an area to watch and sorry this is the nearest we can find. Haha. Of course, I won't just settle watching the float that far. The very makulit me found a way to get near the float. See, I can see the people now. I can see Vice Ganda clearly. Haha! Students in their flower costume. Nice to see that they can still smile after that long parade. Imagine performing under the sun from Session Rd to Melvin Jones. Wow. Kudos to these people. Panagbenga or flower festival is a month long annual event being held at Baguio City.   Held every February to celebrate the "season of blooming" of flowers. Float Parade This is my first time to experience this festival. And you don't know how I've been wanting to see this. It's just that every time I apply for leave it won't get approved. Pffttt! Good thing the main events are being held on my rest day so I could just go up to Baguio and watch them. And thanks to the additional VTO I can have more days to see them. Yehey! Market Encounter I got so excited when I saw this. Look! A long array of stalls selling clothes, accessories and other stuff. What a shopping haven for a girl like me! Haha!  See what I mean?
