Panagbenga

Panagbenga or flower festival is a month long annual event being held at Baguio City.   Held every February to celebrate the "season of blooming" of flowers.

Float Parade
This is my first time to experience this festival. And you don't know how I've been wanting to see this. It's just that every time I apply for leave it won't get approved. Pffttt! Good thing the main events are being held on my rest day so I could just go up to Baguio and watch them. And thanks to the additional VTO I can have more days to see them. Yehey!

Market Encounter
I got so excited when I saw this. Look! A long array of stalls selling clothes, accessories and other stuff. What a shopping haven for a girl like me! Haha!

See what I mean? Accessories! Accessories! Accessories!

Of course, I won't let this market pass without shopping.

Bracelets

And if you got tired and hungry with all the shopping, don't worry the market also sells food and refreshments. There's different kinds of food to choose from, from burgers, siomai, shawarma, corns, pasta, cakes , empanada and more. And if you are really hungry there's rice and a wide array of viands to choose from.

What I like about the shakes they sell here is that you can see that they came from fresh fruits and they will put in a lot of fruits from your shake not unlike the commercial ones like "fruitas" or other stands selling fruit shakes where in you'll see they'll just put in tiny pieces from the blender. Hehe.

Shawarma
And yes one of my favorite, the shawarma rice. I like it because of the garlic sauce. I was even called "the garlic sauce girl" at the office because of the amount of garlic sauce I put in to my rice. Hehe. And look at manong he even pose for the picture. Haha!

Landscape Exhibit

And to shake off all the fats and carbs from your tummy after eating, you can go to the landscape exhibit just besides the market encounter where in you will see how the artists of landscapers in Baguio show their crafts.

Suso Beach, Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur

The place is called Suso Beach because it is situated at barangay Suso of the municipality of Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur which is known for it's world heritage site the Our Lady of Assumption Church which is sometimes called the Santa Maria church. The beach sands were fine and brown but the picture at the top was taken around 10 am so it's almost white in color. And would you believe that this beach is located just along the highway? Yup! You heard me right..  Eventhough it was not our first time to be here I was still excited probably because I super love  beaches or probably because I haven't been to a beach for a long long while now or both. Because the last time we were here was a few years back around 2011 I guess and we just had a stop over, because we're going to Vigan. So right after Santa Maria is Narvacan which has some awesome beaches too, which is already near Vigan. So when we got to the beach...

Six

Wow! Time flies by so fast, my baby is now in his sixth month! He's so makulit now. He eats everything he sees. And when you take your eyes off of him for a bit you won't be able to see him on the exact place you last saw him, he will already be on the far side. And because of this we always make sure of his safety. His way of waking you up is by grabbing your face and then scratch it. Oh yeah it hurts a lot even if I  just cut his nails and sometimes it will leave a bruise on my face, the funny thing is that once you look at him, he will smile at you and show his cute dimples so how will you get mad by that? Then in the morning when he wakes up, he will find me and once he sees me, he would smile, sometimes shout then he will start shaking his head and his whole body like he's making pa bibo to me. I'm carrying him right now and he's grabbing everything he sees so it's taking me hours to finish this. hehe. So this is us, I star...

VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR

Vigan City is the capital of the province of Ilocos Sur located at the northern part of Luzon which is around 400 kilometers away from Manila. It was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is known for its Spanish Era ancestral houses. Calle Crisologo CALLE CRISOLOGO is the most famous and most visited attraction of Vigan, It is known for its streets lined with old,Spanish Era ancestral houses and cobble stoned streets.  From there ypu can buy different kinds of souvenirs and furnitures. It's amazing how they try to preserve these old houses, from the windows and floorings and those old massive hardwood doors are so ancient. It's like being warped to the old Spanish times. And to add up to that feeling you can take a Calesa ride and take a tour around Vigan.
