Fortune Hongkong Seafood Restaurant, Baguio

One of the new restaurants being built here in Baguio is the Fortune Hongkong Seafood Restaurant. Well I say new because outside it looks like its not finished yet. I don't know what's on the 2nd floor up but the first floor is already finished. What interests me is the word "Hongkong". Boyfriend always brags about saying how delicious the foods are in Hongkong. So I would like to have somewhat a taste of it.

Finding this gem is actually just an accident, I was just browsing through the net of a good venue here in Baguio on where we can celebrate Julian's christening. And voila! I saw a good review of this restaurant. The good thing about it is they also have a set package for 10-12 people. But my top most criteria for looking for a good venue is the food. Of course, it should be delicious.

First food that was served to us was the pumpkin soup. The soup was really delicious, it was full of fish, shrimp and crab meat.

Then the peking duck. They asked us if it will be 2 ways or not, it was explained to us but we don't actually get what they were talking about. hehe. But we chose the 2 ways.

For the peking duck two ways, they will first skin off the duck and will wrap it in a crepe together with some vegetables. I think it's carrots and onion leeks. They are actually skinning and wrapping it infront of you. Then the remaining was minced and cooked and was served with a lettuce.

The peking duck was sooo delicious! I can't really get over it till now. Haha!

Fortune Omellette was also full of fish and shrimps, then it was topped with scrambled egg. Actually the rice itself is already enough. Haha!

The sliced pork belly was also served with lettuce.

All in all my experience was really nice. The food was so delicious, the place has a very cozy ambience. the service was good, the people are very nice. But one thing though, they did not serve us a tea. I think they don't automatically serve it, I think you should ask first. But overall everything was nice.

Suso Beach, Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur

The place is called Suso Beach because it is situated at barangay Suso of the municipality of Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur which is known for it's world heritage site the Our Lady of Assumption Church which is sometimes called the Santa Maria church. The beach sands were fine and brown but the picture at the top was taken around 10 am so it's almost white in color. And would you believe that this beach is located just along the highway? Yup! You heard me right..  Eventhough it was not our first time to be here I was still excited probably because I super love  beaches or probably because I haven't been to a beach for a long long while now or both. Because the last time we were here was a few years back around 2011 I guess and we just had a stop over, because we're going to Vigan. So right after Santa Maria is Narvacan which has some awesome beaches too, which is already near Vigan. So when we got to the beach...

Six

Wow! Time flies by so fast, my baby is now in his sixth month! He's so makulit now. He eats everything he sees. And when you take your eyes off of him for a bit you won't be able to see him on the exact place you last saw him, he will already be on the far side. And because of this we always make sure of his safety. His way of waking you up is by grabbing your face and then scratch it. Oh yeah it hurts a lot even if I  just cut his nails and sometimes it will leave a bruise on my face, the funny thing is that once you look at him, he will smile at you and show his cute dimples so how will you get mad by that? Then in the morning when he wakes up, he will find me and once he sees me, he would smile, sometimes shout then he will start shaking his head and his whole body like he's making pa bibo to me. I'm carrying him right now and he's grabbing everything he sees so it's taking me hours to finish this. hehe. So this is us, I star...

Vigan City is the capital of the province of Ilocos Sur located at the northern part of Luzon which is around 400 kilometers away from Manila. It was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
