Mhai Way of Life

In the midst of the mountains of Itogon, Benguet is its hotsprings and pools located at Brgy. Poblacion.It is also called 1300 Level swimming pools where they are famous for their steam baths and steam pools. There are different resorts to choose from and it's just 30 minutes away from Baguio City.  We went there just a few days ago because one of Jardy's miner is having his despedida. Unfortunately the steam bath was not available when we were there. (Sad face) But eventhough it was not available, just by plunging yourself from the pool while enjoying the luscious view of the mountains is already amazing! I know I'm supposed to be on diet as per my OB, but how can I do that if your  food is like this!  You won't see this sign in the lowlands. Haha.

August is the month for celebration of my Mom and my Brother as they celebrate their birthdays, so we went down to Cavite to visit them. My very kuripot mom.. (hehe..^_^) of course, wants to stay in the house and just cook food but my brother wants to go to Tagaytay. He either wants to go to Paradizoo or Sky Ranch. But it was raining really hard, so we just decided to eat outside for dinner. Then my father wants bulalo so we went to Tagaytay for dinner. I was actually planning to go to Viewsite but my family was so impatient so they just decided to eat at Bulalo Point. We ordered their special bulalo, gambas, kare-kare, crispy pata and fried kangkong. I want the crispy tawilis and their squid but it was not available so I was really disappointed. This is their gambas or more of I call it bell pepper with shrimps. They say it's good for three people but I only found 4 pieces of shrimps. Not really what I'm expecting so another disappointment for me.  Then they ...

Wow! Time flies by so fast, my baby is now in his sixth month! He's so makulit now. He eats everything he sees. And when you take your eyes off of him for a bit you won't be able to see him on the exact place you last saw him, he will already be on the far side. And because of this we always make sure of his safety.His way of waking you up is by grabbing your face and then scratch it. Oh yeah it hurts a lot even if I  just cut his nails and sometimes it will leave a bruise on my face, the funny thing is that once you look at him, he will smile at you and show his cute dimples so how will you get mad by that? Then in the morning when he wakes up, he will find me and once he sees me, he would smile, sometimes shout then he will start shaking his head and his whole body like he's making pa bibo to me. I'm carrying him right now and he's grabbing everything he sees so it's taking me hours to finish this. hehe. So this is us, I star...

One of the new restaurants being built here in Baguio is the Fortune Hongkong Seafood Restaurant. Well I say new because outside it looks like its not finished yet. I don't know what's on the 2nd floor up but the first floor is already finished. What interests me is the word "Hongkong". Boyfriend always brags about saying how delicious the foods are in Hongkong. So I would like to have somewhat a taste of it. Finding this gem is actually just an accident, I was just browsing through the net of a good venue here in Baguio on where we can celebrate Julian's christening. And voila! I saw a good review of this restaurant. The good thing about it is they also have a set package for 10-12 people. But my top most criteria for looking for a good venue is the food. Of course, it should be delicious. First food that was served to us was the pumpkin soup. The soup was really delicious, it was full of fish, shrimp and crab meat...
